    AmTelAudit specializes in the recovery of telecommunications over-billings and the reduction of recurring telecom expenses. AmTelAudit is currently seeking an experienced telecommunications Data Analyst/Auditor to review and evaluate clients� current voice, data and wireless networks including their usage factors and vendor commitments. Current plans are then compared to service plans from both current and competitive telecom providers with the goal of cost reduction. Additionally, analyst will review current pricing plans and contracts for erroneous charges and over-billings. The analyst will then recommend cost-cutting measures including both alternative network configurations and alternative vendors.

    Specific duties include:

    * Communicate with clients and/or vendors to obtain access to or copies of historical billing data and vendor contracts needed to do the audit.

    * Create spreadsheets to establish current cost factors and compare these to contract rates and/or tariffs, looking for non-compliance issues and/or over-billings.

    * Develop recommendations for any network configuration changes and work with designated master agent to obtain competitive vendor pricing data.

    * Use spread sheets to compare current costs to recommended changes.

    * Create a “Findings & Recommendations Report” (F&R) that will include:
    - Current network configuration and usage patterns
    - Vendor contract status
    - Overview of recommended changes identifying financial impact of each recommendation

    * For the term of the client agreement, audit on-going quarterly billing data to determine the actual amount of savings for that quarter using the same spread sheet format
    from the original F&R report.

    * Maintain positive working relationships with AmTelAudit representatives and clients including assisting with questions and/or problems.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Web Page Development and Support: 60%
    * Design new Extension web pages and upgrade existing web pages.

    Administrative Support for Family Development: 10%
    * Help track and maintain Family Development admin equipment and software; work with Extension ILT and/or U of M resources to log trouble tickets; order and install new equipment and software.
    * Advise staff on UMConnect presentations, recording and posting them as needed.
    * Provide assistance in setting up PDAs and phones with UMCal and email.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
    High school diploma or GED and four years of related coursework and/or professional experience. Must be able to show examples of websites worked on and specific web tasks or accomplishments. Proficient with HTML and CSS. Able to hand code in Dreamweaver or other professional web software. Expertise in configuring the Windows operating system and working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Professional (i.e., resizing images, creating PDFs, etc.) and graphics software such as Photoshop or InDesign (to work with photos and create graphics).     Description:

    The Data Architect Consultant’s role is an initial technical consultative position responsible for the architecture, design, and development of a relational database and data warehouses. You will participate in the definition of the overall delivery strategy of a large data initiative, including data migration and consolidation, data warehousing, data quality, and master data management. You will work with technical people and end users to understand business requirements and identify data solutions. You will develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and implementation of databases and data warehouses. This position will be responsible for the initial design and implementation of the database initiative and will then hand off the day-to-day administration to internal resources.

    Responsibilities:
    * Provide consultation and recommendation for “cloud computing” hosting of large database initiative, preferably integrated with our Salesforce.com platform.
    * Provide consultation on strategic direction of data warehouse and database design, development and maintenance.
    * Lead the initial architecture, design, integration, and implementation of a large data initiative for data warehouses and databases.
    * Develop standards for data quality, data security, efficient operations, audit, and governance.
    * Gather technical requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
    * Communicate technical architecture direction and provide proof of concepts.
    * Research and recommend technology that promotes efficient operations and cost minimization.
    * Establish strong working relationships with business teams and technology teams.
    * Assists with related special projects as needed.

    Qualifications:
    * Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent knowledge/experience is required.
    * Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of data and information architecture and design
    * Experience implementing enterprise data architectures resulting in measurable business value that includes road mapping, domain reference architectures, and standards management
    * Extensive experience taking functional specifications and translating them to technical data models and database designs
    * Outstanding experience in MYSQL in an enterprise and mission critical environment
    * Experience with data architectures supporting Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) environment.
    * Ability to adapt and react to quickly changing business priorities

    Compensation:
    * Commensurate with experience to $50/hr. of consultative services.
